Good modern dissemination approaches almost always require creating a collection of products. Your choices are going to be based on a few factors including how innovative your organization is, your actual dissemination budget, and the specific audiences you can realistically reach.
Bundle 1. The traditional bundle (1:3:25)
This bundle involves creating a 25 page report, a 3 page executive summary, and a single page brief. This bundle usually only serves your client audience, and isn’t good for broader dissemination efforts, especially when the formats are all PDFs.
Bundle 2. The basic modern bundle (1:3:25)
Here we mirror the traditional bundle but alter the formats. The 25 pager could be an HTML report instead (with a secondary downloadable pdf) or a visual heavy slidedoc. The 3 page executive summary could be a blog post, the landing page (often underutilized), a long infographic, 5 minute video, or a social media carousel. The 1 pager could be individual social media style infographics, short videos, social media posts, or even email newsletters.
Bundle 3. The continuous bundle.
With this bundle we mirror the kind of approach used by journalists and bloggers. Instead of one big resource, we use a blog or email newsletter as our resource hub. Then we publish our work continuously when we have things to share.
