Dissemination Plan

A good dissemination plan should be easy to follow and realistic to implement. If you’ve already worked through all the other methods in the planning section, the actual dissemination plan is easy. We just need to answer some basic questions.

Who?

Start with your audiences, not the products you plan to create. Use my five audience framework link as a starting point. For each audience, tell a story about who they are and what they need most from your work.

What?

Here is where you discuss the types of insights that you plan to share. This will develop and grow over time as your project unfolds.

How?

How do you plan to package your insights?  In other words, what product bundles do you plan to use?

Where?

What channels do you plan to use to share your work with your audiences?  Will it be emailed, shared via social media, presented in person, etc.?

When?

What is the timeline for your dissemination? Not just when your work will be complete. Include important dates for your audience as these create natural deadlines and improve the chances of use.
