*UPDATE*  I took most of the cartoons and added a story; creating a downloadable ebook.  Click here to get your own copy!

Cartooning the 2013 American Evaluation Association Conference

From October 16 to October 19, I will be attending and cartooning Evaluation 2013.

My goal is simple.  I want to take discussions and lessons from the halls of the DC Hilton and project them outward for those not in attendance.

I Need your Help

I don’t want the cartoons to reflect only my experience.  If you’re attending, you can be the eyes and ears for those who are not.  Here is what I need you to do.

Write a comment…

  • when something strikes you as important
  • when you learn something new or interesting
  • when you have a new story to tell
  • when you feel changed
  • when you feel like commenting

You can write it here or in the latest post.   Write the comment in second person directed towards those who are not in attendance.

I’m going to be reading and using the comments for cartoon inspiration.  Together we can create something special.

I’m looking forward to the annual infusion of professional energy and ideas I get at AEA. Every year at AEA I mark off a “follow-up” column in my notebook and throughout the conference jot down ideas to research, web sites and books to investigate, people to get to know better, etc. My list, always long, is a terrific testament a rich and dense conference!

When the list starts to build I would love to hear what’s on it.

The list grows! I have three columns: stuff to read/learn more about, people to follow up with after the conference, and ideas for my work. For fun, there’s a fourth with new & entertaining evaluation phraseology.

Awesome, can you share some new and entertaining phraseology?

Chris, your awesomeness is showing! Thanks for the great blog post on cartooning the conference on aea365 – and for your great cartoons across the board. My favorite is the correlation/causation one for this set so far.
